Ordering

We have worked hard to ensure that Nomad Press books will be easy to find. Individuals should be able to obtain them through any bookstore or yarn shop (or on this website!). Bookstores and yarn shops please see the wholesale resources at the bottom of this page.

January 2015: Unless and until permissions are added to the new VAT requirements that make it possible for microbusinesses to be in compliance, we’re unable to handle sales to the EU. We're very sorry! (For a more friendly explanation of the new VAT rules than the official documents linked to above, see the Knitty blog post explaining the change.)

Books and patterns are arranged by publication date with the newest titles at the top.

Domestic Shipping Rates (inside the US):
Okay, here’s the deal with shipping. We could make the system easier but we want to keep shipping costs as low as possible. If you have questions, drop us an e-mail.

We generally ship by Priority Mail and Global Priority Mail in flat-rate envelopes. We don’t charge the full shipping cost but a round number that's easier to keep track of.

Because Knitting in the Old Way is rather large, we can only fit it into a mailing envelope if it’s solo. So we have to charge $4.00 (USD) per copy to ship it.

With the other titles, we can fit multiple books into an envelope, so between 1 and 3 copies of any combination of our books, excluding Knitting in the Old Way, will also cost $4.00 (USD) to ship. Between 4 and 6 copies of any non-Knitting in the Old Way titles will cost an additional $4.00 (USD), and so on.

International shipping rates are as follows:

Canada and Mexico:
As with domestic shipping constraints, Knitting in the Old Way poses a challenge when we try to pack it with other books. Therefore the cost to ship Knitting in the Old Way to Canada or Mexico is $11.00 (USD). Any other Nomad titles will be shipped for $11.00 (USD) for between 1 and 3 books, and an additional $11.00 (USD) will be added for between 4 and 6 books. If you would like more than 6 of our books (or more than 2 copies of Knitting in the Old Way), please contact us. There are alternative methods of shipping books that become feasible after this point.

All other countries: See shipping information for Canada and Mexico (above) but the base rate is $13.00 (USD) (not $11). The threshold above which alternative shipping methods become sensible is for more than 3 copies of Knitting in the Old Way or more than 9 copies of our other books.

Our books are also available through Barnes & Noble and Amazon (including Kindle®) world-wide.

* Books shipped to Colorado residents will include a 2.9% tax.
